i'm not sure why there aint a star awards in year 2008 but the nomination list for year 2009 is out on Feb 26. I will begin with the Best Actor Award so watch this space for the upcoming weeks til 26 April.

Best Actor

• Adrian Pang (彭耀顺) in 奶爸百分百

• Chen Hanwei (陈汉玮) in 不凡的爱

• Huang Wenyong (黄文永) in 一房半厅一水缸

• Pierre Png (方展发) in 小娘惹

• Qi Yu Wu (戚玉武) in 小娘惹

• Tay Ping Hui (郑斌辉) in 黄金路

My Favourite: Adrian Pang

this is one very simple show but brought to life by this actor and possibly also by the babies that co-star and Yvonne Lim (main actress). For a Channel 5 actor, its extremely hard for him to converse in chinese thro'out the whole show w/o dubbing. i think overall he has done a great job bringing funny actions and endless laughter to the tv audience.

Dark Horse: Chen Hanwei

yet another simple show but educating on AIDS. Zoe Tay was also in the show if you happen to recall. i thought Chen did very well towards the end when he was shown contracting the disease, the body movement, facial expression depicting his weak condition, which is why i list him as a dark horse.

Veteran-of-all-time: Huang Wenyong

i got to say i really like his acting, he has shown versatility in all roles he has undertaken. But i cant give any comments about him in this show coz half the time i wasnt pay attention to this show [ and the other half i was focusing on Fiona Xie LOL].

The Cool-man: Pierre Png

yet another channel 5 crossover actor, it really goes to show the quality of channel 5 actors. Mandarin is not their main language yet they still able to bring out the essence of the story with their roles. i caught bits and pieces of him in Little Nonya , similar to Chen, i felt that his role greatly stand out towards the end, when he suffer from amnesia [or was it some other illness] thinking too much of Juxiang (acted by Jeanette Aw).

The Yan-Dao: Qi Yu Wu

he was one of the newcomers i really looking forward to in the past. however, he chose to went on the big screens which i somehow dun really support that move. He came back for the role in little nonya, and i thought this time round he will bring that "element-0f-acting" back with him. Sadly , this role was way too quiet , way too discipline, he ended up in my eyes way too good looking and neat in that show. yeah just that.

The Winner: Tay Ping Hui

this is the best tcs show i've watched last year. Tay as a bad guy, woah i think that is a great choice, u probably get tired watching him acting as the good guy all the time. to be honest, credit must be given to the other casts of the show who enable Tay to portray his role much more vividly. hard to give u a better description, u got to watch the show , it really rocks.

The Missing-One: Zheng Ge Ping 心花朵朵开

year 2007 best actor winner wasnt nominated this time round. His acting has matured over the years greatly i admit. its a surprise that this show lasted over many many episodes failed to be nominated in almost all the categories. however, i felt he acted well in this show , protraying a father working hard after bankruptcy, given the pressures he had esp: the scene when he cried, trying to salvage his marriage and maintaining the family. oh ya of coz also when he is irritated by Patricia Mok LOL.

wooo and there comes my fav easy-dpsing boss time( Loatheb) !! its very anxious coz most of the time my health was red, tough healing on the healers part, on certain occasions i glanced at the raid frames , i could almost see everyone below 50% hp ><

Eventually, Moonspiral did it and so we had successfully down spider wing and plague wing til now!! next stop is Military wing.. woohoo.

i have been busy enjoying my one month [ and i mean ONLY one month lol ] of vacation before my school starts as of 5th jan. Being a "full-time" gamer wasnt easy, coz i got to juggle the number of games i played thro' out this peaceful one month haha.

so what are the games i have tried out during my december holidays ( in order of preference )

5. C & C Red Alert 3

a rather disappointing game i must admit considering all the pre-hype that was going on b4 the launch. the movie was of coz interesting [ with all the babes *wink wink* ]. however the skirmish was so boring, i thought i was playing micro machines when i was 4 yrs old literally.

4. Football Manager 2009

oh ya, my all time fav game. so why izzit at 4th position?? thats because the game was too high RAM demand, my computer was loading for like 15mins everytime i click Continue. it was getting so long to load, i could even read Straits Time while waiting to enter the next match. but overall with the new 3D matches, its pretty interesting even though i think FM09 wasnt the first to implement that idea. i cant recall whats the other football game title.

3. Bleach Soul Carnival [PSP]

as my dear frens would know, i only play Bleach games on my PSP. this game was a rather different approach than the rest of the Bleach series i have played previously. a little like RPG perhaps?? but sadly , happy moments end fast. just when i was beginning to embark on my second day of my Bleach game [ which was 1st day of my Sitex work ] , my psp crash on me. I sent for repair, and i was told the motherboard had to be replaced for $150 ><. i guess i would juz leave my psp to rot until a new model arrives in the game market.

2. Pro Evolution Soccer 2009

after the disappointment in previous 2 installments, i wasnt sure whether to purchase this game. eventually, i still give it a try [ coz i am an avid soccer fan ;p ]. it wasnt easy at first, the mechanics of "thro pass" is abit weird. i got thrashed by lowbie teams when playing at "Regular" level, how embarrassing! so after 1 week of intense training, i finally got my UEFA Champions trophy at Regular mode using Man Utd. yea i tried using liverpool, but i got thrashed by Fiorentina at semi final. sadness~

1. WOW:Wrath of Lich King

it couldnt be any surprise at all that this game is at the top position. Gone are the terrible irritating terrains in Burning Crusade, and welcome the new "popping", "pouncing" effect of the new mobs. With only 1 intense month , okok i admit "eating" into abit of November, i managed to level my mage and hunter to 80. i was quite surprise that i actually leveled my hunter that fast, considering that i took 1 yr to level my hunter to lvl 70 during Burning Crusade. -_-!! now my next goal is to level my pally to 80, coz i saw a really freaking nice picture of lvl 80 t7.5 pally at one of my fav frequent blog -> Outofmana

but thats a dream, my school started, so lets jus hope that dream will not be too far off from achieving lol.

Some of u might know that i juz returned from my Red Cross Camp , well it turned out to be pretty enjoyable [ if u omitted those "waiting and waiting" ]. Heres a slight breakdown of the events, hopefully i didnt miss out anyting.

Day 1 Sat:

Reported to School at 8am , and was directed to the waiting room. In there , i fell asleep coz i long time nver wake up so early liao lol. In the room, there was this gal who claimed that she was feeling high and trying to interact with everyone. She shouted across the room to ask which grp we are assigned to , but she didnt know my name so she decided to be creative and "Hey Slping boy, wats ur grp? " . and that phrase came into my mind "wtf" lol.

Finally 9am, we splitted into our grps to do some ice breaking games and i get to know my teammates. Been a lao jiao [ old bird ] , i feel so out in the group coz all of them are Yr 1 freshies. I blamed my fren Celia who put me aeroplane by not coming on the first day due to her work commitments lol. The day pretty much ended with games and ya games the whole day. Slp wasnt smooth coz a freshie from another group snore and snore until i keep waking up every 30mins interval. Damn~

Day 2 Sun:

So i wake up looking like a zombie lol. We set off to Toa Payoh to collect rice for the less fortunate familes. U probably have saw some of my other grp frens on Channel 8 evening news. We targetted to reach 300kg of rice but ended up with 2000kg plus of rice, kudos to u Toa Payoh residents good job.

Funny tings happened during my rice collection with Celia. I still remember Celia went to a unit and saw two little cute kids open the door and ask us what we doing. The little brother was like rolling on the floor when we were toking the slightly older brother lol.

so Celia asked " Where ur mama? we here to collect rice"
and boy answered " Mummy in toilet, she say wait"
Celia asked again " Where ur papa then?"
and boy answer " Papa also inside toilet"

Celia laughed her head off and u probably know wat Celia was tinking about LOL.

so the day ended early after the Toa Payoh trip. Slp was very pleasant becoz the freshie "decided" not to snore anymore lol.

Day 3 Mon

Set off early again to Toa Payoh , this time to the less fortunate ppl staying in 1 room HDB. We distributed the bag of rice to each units, i can really feel that they are very happy to see us. This program didnt really impressed me when i saw it initially on the emailer, but after experiencing it , i really tink it is meaningful. Hopefully Red Cross will continue on this on a yearly basis.

Next half of day return to SMU to plan for the trip to home for disabled ppl. nothing much happen until the night trip with API [ Asia Paranormal Investigators ] to rumoured "weird" places in Singapore ><

Slp was slightly peaceful, occasional snores but i was tired so slept thro the night haha.

Day 4 Tues

Took MRT to Blood Bank at Outram Park, know more about on Blood donation. i didnt walk into the blood storage area, coz i dun really like the looks of the blood bag haha. then the chartered bus came to fetch us to the home for the disabled pppl.

We performed some songs for the residents there , hoping to bring some comfort and joy to these unfortunate ppl. A nice lad in my group break down coz it reminds him of his grandmother when we sing the song " Tian Mi Mi" . Sadly , when i saw him cry, i also remember my dear grandmother who passed away 2 months ago. But i stay strong and continue to perform for the residents there, coz i know if they saw someone cry , they will feel even bad there.

so the camp ended around 7pm ba , then i chose to go home coz damn shag, nver joined my grp for dinner. more or less , the camp is overall a fruitful experience but it can be better w/o those wait and wait , also everytime the catering food was delivered here warm, we ended ate those food 1hr later. Most importantly, i ended up in the toilet with a bad stomach everytime after meals.boohoo = <


Side note:

during the camp, i saw a gal that imo looked like my ex. cant help but keep glancing at her. got to know her but felt her personality was a world's apart from my ex. Yet , i still cant keep my eyes off her , maybe she got that eyes of hers. i showed my ex's photo in facebook to Celia and asked whether they looked alike anot. But all Celia could said is my ex looks much more pretty!. lol i also dunno wat to say haha.

Haiz, but sometimes in the camp i would really hope this 似曾相识 gal would be her. Unfortunately , its not possible ~
Sometimes when u miss someting, things dun come knocking back on ur door anymore.
